Consumer Protection

Washington law protects consumers from unfair and deceptive practices in trade or commerce.  The Public Advocate, through individual and class actions, represents people trying to stop unfair trade practices.  In many cases, attorney's fees are available in addition to a consumer's out-of-pocket losses when there has been a violation of the Consumer Protection Act.
